Abstract
PURPOSE:To make to have anisotropy so that the C axis orients in the thickness direction by adjusting an oxygen deficiency with the melt of an oxide superconductive material in a half-insulation condition cooled, formed, and heat treated via a pair of rolls composed of a conductive member and applied by voltage. CONSTITUTION:A melt 3, represented as YBa2Cu3O7-delta, delta>0.5, of an oxide superconductive material is filled in an ampoule 1. A melt injected from a nozzle 2 of the ampoule 1 is cooled and formed via between a pair of cooling rolls 4 and 5 composed of a conductive member, and passes through an electric furnace 6 to obtain a foil superconductor 7. Voltage is applied to a pair of rolls 4 and 5 with a power source 8, the melt 3 is polarized in the thickness direction when passing through between these rolls 4 and 5, the C axis direction is configured in the thickness dirrection Z in the resultant superconductor 7, and the a-axis and b-axis directions are configured in the longitudinal direction X and the width direction Y respectively. And the superconductor 7 is reheated by its passing through the furnace 6 after forming, and an oxygen deficiency deltais adjusted to a range of 0.01<delta<0.5.
