Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the manufacture of a magnetic head in which no magnetic saturation at a joint part is generated and with superior magnetic efficiency, by adhering an inflection part whose extension part almost in perpendicular direction for the tape sliding plane of a tape sliding core part is formed so as to be inflected on a core half body substrate. CONSTITUTION:Ferromagnetic metallic films 25 and 25' formed so as to be sandwiched by non-magnetic materials 23 and 23' and non-magnetic materials 24 and 24' are provided, and the pair of core half bodies 21 and 21; are confronted between confronting planes via the non-magnetic material, and a magnetic gap 27 with width equivalent to track width W is forced on the tape sliding plane 26. In other words, the inflection parts 25b and 25'b exposed on the tape sliding plane 26 and whose extension part almost in perpendicular direction for the tape sliding plane of the tape sliding core part which forms the track width is formed so as to be inflected are formed adhesively on inclined walls 28 and 28' notched on the core half body substrates 22 and 22'. Thereby, a joint area can be increased, and no magnetic saturation is generated at the joint part, and a composite type magnetic head with superior magnetic characteristic can be obtained.
