Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the reliability as well as wear resistance, by using a ceramic of nonmagnetic insulation material having the same thermal expansion coefficient substantially as that of a sintered oxidized ferromagnetic substance constituting a magnetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head is provided with magnetic circuit elements 2, 3 of sintered oxidized ferromagnetic substance and a component 4 of ceramic material other than magnetic head air gap filler, and the components of the ceramic member bond the magnetic circuit elements 2, 3 mutually. The ceramic material is made of compound of Ca2Ti9O20 and has crystal structure of it. The magnetic head can effectively be reinforced with high reliability, by using a ceramic of nonmagnetic insulation material having the same thermal expansion coefficient substantially as that of a sintered oxidized ferromagnetic magerial constituting the magnetic circuit of the magnetic head.
