Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance by using a single crystal material for a medium-opposing surface and a polycrystal material for other parts. CONSTITUTION:A slanting-line part 1 is a part which comes into contact with a medium and made of Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite, and the other part 2 is made of Mn-Zn polycrystal ferrite. Since the medium-opposing surface uses the single- crystal ferrite, contact start-stop CSS resistance has the same value with the Ni-Zn polycrystal material. Further, the single-crystal and polycrystal parts combine together through mutual diffusion, so the junction part never increase in magnetic resistance and the same electromagnetic conversion characteristics with a magnetic head made of respective materials in the same shape are obtained.
