CONSTITUTION:This motor is controlled so that when the position of the optical pickup 3 draws near the object position, the revolution speed of the motor which moves the optical pickup becomes lower. That is, a microcomputer 9 outputs control signals to a digital signal processing circuit 5 and a servo control circuit 8, and outputs, to a feedback resistance element 7a, a signal GC which controls the gain of an amplifier 7 depending upon an distance between the current position and the object position of the optical pickup. Thus, the optical pickup can be moved at higher speed, when its position is away from the object position, and the optical pickup can be moved at lower speed, and when it draws near the object position, it can be moved at lower speed, therefore the optical pickup can be moved at high speed to the object position and stopped for preventing overrunning.
