Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify circuit constitution and improve follow-up characteristics by controlling the positions and speed signals fed back to the servo circuit of a head- positioning linear motor with low-pass- and high-pass filters. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage having been set according to acceleration, steady speed and deceleration is applied to the voice coil of a linear motor via addaptability phase advance circuit 11, position detection signals are generated from position detection circuits 12, 14 and a speed signal is generated from a speed detection circuit 13 through differentiation of the position detection signals. When the change of the speed signal at the acceleration and deceleration of the linear motor is large, the speed signal from the circuit 13 is cut off with an LPF 16 and servo controlling by the feedback of the position signal outputted by the circuit 14 via HPF 15 is accomplished, by which the head is moved to the neighborhood of the target track. When the speed of the linear motor becomes steady, the position signal from the circuit 14 of less change is cut off with an HPF 14 and the servo controlling by the feedback of the speed signal is accomplished.
