Abstract

PURPOSE:To control an apparatus with a good accuracy by comparing a signal from a motor turning angle detector with a reference signal and by controlling power application to a piezoelectric body through a motor control circuit on the basis of the result of said comparison. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor 25 is composed of a disc rotor, a ring stator, a running material, a piezoelectric body and others; and the rotor face is provided with a resistor and a terminal area so that a rotor turning angle may be detected. A controller for said motor is composed of a control signal oscillator 21, a motor turning angle detector 22 consisting of said resistor and terminal area, a comparison circuit 23, and a motor control circuit 24. Thus, when the wavelength of a motor turning angle signal 22a is longer than that of a triangular wave signal 21a, a power application interval for said piezoelectric body is shortened and the rotation of said rotor is quickened.
