Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain normal signal transmission by using a signal line as a closed loop and cutting off electrically the short-circuit line between adjacent multiplex terminals of the detection of short-circuit thereby utilizing a signal line at the side not short-circuited. CONSTITUTION:When a signal line 21 is short-circuited, relays 33, 35 of each multiplex terminal are opened once simultaneously and a corresponding relay is closed sequentially as to each line. In closing the switch 33 of the line 21, an output change is caused in a detection circuit 37 and a short-circuit line is discriminated. Only the switch 33 is opened and other switches are closed. Thus, the signal is sent normally among all the multiplex terminals 11-16 by remaining lines 17-20 and 22. The possibility of both the signal lines 21, 22 to be opened is very less.
