Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the operating time when covered with frost by a constitution comprising pipes which are disposed in a row relative to the air flow and fins which are perpendicularly attached to the pipes, and various setting the distance from the pipe center to the fin windward edge while that to the fin trailing edge is made uniform. As a result, the space between the fins is not clogged in the zone of (L1-L2) even if a frost layer 25 has been formed. Further, the absolute temperature of air becomes low in this zone, frost at the windward edge of the fin group 23 is reduced, and the boundary layer generated by the fin group 22 is broken by the fin group 23, and so, the frosting can be made uniform over the entire surface of the fins, preventing the clogging due to the frost layer 25.
