Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the adjustment of the white balance of a signal system by providing respectively different filters for color temperature conversion to correspond to respective diaphragm apertures. CONSTITUTION:The information of brightness are fetched by an AE sensor 11 and light source information are fetched by a white balance sensor or a white balance setting means 12. Then, a diaphragm turret 3 is turned and a stop value and a color temperature converting filter (CC filter) 4 are selected. Accordingly, the wavelength component of an object light incident on the CC color filter 4 to an image pickup element 5 is arranged in a nearly constant width in an internal part and a condition can be obtained that the gain ratio of the (chrominance) signal obtained from the image pickup element 5 is not nearly needed to be controlled. Namely, since the color temperature is almost corrected by the CC filter 4 before the incoming of the light to the image pickup element by respectively providing the CC filter 4 on the respective diaphragm apertures, the white balance does not need to be adjusted nearly to the image signal obtained from the image pickup element and the dynamic range of luminance can be improved.
