Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically compensate the generation of a mixed color and to obtain a picture with excellent color tone, by detecting the aperture value of a pickup lens and individually controlling the level of each color video signal produced from the image pickup tube accordingly. CONSTITUTION:An aperture value (F value) is detected with a cam 13 interlocked with an aperture 12 provided at the back of a pickup lens 11 and a lever 14. When the aperture is at almost <=4.0, variable resistors AVA and BVB varying the gain of video amplifiers RA and BA are driven and the transmission level of video signals R and B produced from a pickup tube PT is controlled by taking a G as a reference. Further, the shape of the cam 13 is determined by assuming that the lever 14 can be turned in response to the aperture when the apperture is at almost <=4.0, and the state of the gain change by the variable resistors RVA and BVB is determined by assuming that white balance in normally kept even with the generation of mixed colors.
