Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cooling ability and to reduce the generation of noise, by a method wherein a plurality of the numbers of revolutions of a cooling fan are decided based on a cooling water temperature and a noise generating factor, and based on the lower one of the upper limit values of the numbers of revolutions, the final number of the cooling fan is decided. CONSTITUTION:A fan 10 to feed cooling air to a radiator 12 is run with the aid of a hydraulic motor 16. Drive of the hydraulic motor 16 is controlled according to an amount of working liquid fed controlled by a flow rate control valve 22. Detecting signals from a cooling water temperature sensor 42, a number of revolutions of blower motor detecting means 44 for indoor blast, an air amount sensor 46, and a car speed sensor 48 are inputted to the control device 40. Meanwhile, a control signal is outputted from the control device 40 to a flow rate control valve 22. In this case, the control device 40 decides the final number of revolutions of a fan based on the lower one of the upper limit values of a plurality of the numbers of revolutions of a fan decided depending upon a cooling water temperature and a noise generating factor.
