Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the output variation of a laser light by providing a 1/4- wavelength plate for converting the S-polarized light and P-polarized light emitted from a laser tube to a circular polarized light respectively, and an optical element at which the converted circular polarized light is reflecting. CONSTITUTION:Each of the S-polarized light and P-polarized light emitted from a laser tube 111 is converted to a circular polarized light by a 1/4-wavelength plate 113, and that circular polarized light is reflected at or transmitted through an optical element 115. That is, the S-polarized light and P-polarized light are emitted from the laser tube 111 which has a resonance length providing one or two longitudinal modes, and each light is converted to a circular polarized light by the 1/4-wavelength plate 113. The circular polarized light converted by the 1/4-wavelength plate 113 is reflected by or transmitted through the optical element 115. By such conversion of the S-polarized light and P-polarized light emitted from the laser tube 111 to a circular polarized light, the output variation thereof is prevented.
