Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a printing action to be rapidly carried out, by reprinting on a paper using to the heat generation of a printing heat-generation part while the recorded information on the paper is erased due to the heat generation of an erasing heat-generation part. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon 10 is also brought into pressure contact with a paper 3 by a printing thermal head 32 behind a travel direction of an erasing thermal head 33. In this state, an erasing energy larger than that in printing is applied to the erasing thermal head 33 and a carriage 8 is traveled, whereby the recorded information on the paper 3 is erased. After the recorded information to be erased is applied to an ink layer at the completion of applying the erasing energy, the printing thermal head 32 is traveled to an erased part. At this time, a printing energy is applied to the printing thermal head 32 so that a predetermined reprinting can be applied to the erased part.
