Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to seal a metal electrode to a ceramics insulating envelope without furnishing a metallized layer by sealing with silver-copper- titanium type silver solder between the end surface of an alumina type ceramics insulating pipe and a metal electrode made of an iron-nickel type alloy. CONSTITUTION:When a gas lightning arrester is composed, a silver-copper- titanium type silver solder is placed between the end surfaces 4 of an alumina type ceramics insulating pipe 1 and a metal electrodes 5 made of an iron-nickel type alloy to seal up in an inert gas ambiance. As a result, at the end surface side of the alumina type ceramics insulating pipe, the titanium-copper alloy makes the combination with the ceramics rigidly, while at the iron-nickel type alloy metal electrode side, the silver exercises the main combinating function, to seal up the both connection surfaces, and moreover, since the soldering is carried out in the inert gas ambiance, the strongly active titanium in the solder is not led to a nitrification or hydrogenation.
