Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect properly by inputting the output signal of an overcurrent detection circuit to a microcomputer all the time and having the number of the overcurrent signals counted every certain time. CONSTITUTION:An inverter is constituted of an inverter main circuit 2, a base driving circuit 7 etc., and controlled by a microcomputer 10. The microcomputer 10 is constituted of CPU14, ROM15, RAM16, an input latch circuit 12 and an input and output circuit 13. And, the output of an overcurrent detection circuit 4 makes a current limiting operation operate directly as a breaking signal of a power transistor without latching by the latch circuit 12, and at the same time, the output signal of the overcurrent detection circuit 4 is inputted to the microcomputer 10, and the base breaking is carried out by the microcomputer 10 having a program capable of detecting a certain time continuity of the operation. Accordingly, for instantaneous overcurrent, the inverter can be immediately operated continuously by current reduction after breaking the current at a set-point.
