Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable plane scan of high recording density to be performed, by a method wherein not less than two lines of liquid drop injecting fine holes are arranged uniformly at a pitch of not more than one half of a size of a heating element and, further, a gap between the heating element and the fine hole is made not more than the size of the heating element. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle board 105 on which not less than two lines of nozzle holes 14 forming an ink drop to be flown are arranged uniformly at a pitch of not more than one half of a size of a heating element 107, is used. When this nozzle board is used, a plurality of nozzle holes are arranged opposed to one heating element. Therefore, by formation of a bubble with one heating element, a plurality of ink drops are injected from a plurality of the opposed nozzle holes. Since many ink drops are injected with one heating element, though positions of the nozzle holes and the heating element are shifted, a marked variation is not generated in the number of the ink drops to be injected. That is, since it is not required that nozzle holes are accurately registered by each heating element, a line type head of a board width can be realized.
