Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the mass flow rate of fluid in an oscillation system by using the prescribed computation equation by detecting the overall load of a container and the fluid therein, amplifying the same, detecting the oscillation acceleration of the container, subjecting the same to variable amplification and controlling the flow rate until the outputs of the two amplifiers coincide with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The total load of the container 14 and the liquid 100 therein is detected from a load sensor 12 and the detection signal thereof is subjected to A2 times amplification by the amplifier 26 and is outputted as a signal e2 to a comparator circuit 28. An acceleration sensor 30 detects the oscillation acceleration α in the vertical direction of a stand 10 (the transverse oscillation is suppressed) and the detection signal thereof is subjected to A1 times amplification by the variable amplifier 32 and is outputted as a single e1 to the circuit 28. The circuit 28 outputs an amplification factor control signal to the amplifier 32 in such a manner that the signals e2 and e1 coincide with each other. The mass flow rate of the liquid 100 in the container 4, i.e., the mass flow rate of the fluid 100 flowing in the pipe provided on the oscillation system is determined by computing 34 ρ(t)q(t)=(1/A2).(d/dt)(A1(t) where the density of the fluid 100 is designated as ρ and the flow rate of the fluid supplied via the pipe 20 is designated as d(t).
