Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the re-evaporation of the drain stored at a lower part of a shell by installing a shell and a heat transfer tube in an inclined manner, forming a drain flow passage on its lower part, and surrounding the shell with a heat insulation material except the drain flow passage. CONSTITUTION: In a latent heat recovery device 1 where a shell 2 in which the hot combustion gas obtained by burning the fuel containing a large volume of hydrogen such as the city gas, the natural gas and the heavy oil flows, is provided, a heat transfer tube 3 to flow the fluid such as the lithium bromide aqueous solution is inserted therein, and the hot combustion gas flows outside the heat transfer tube 3 to exchange the heat with the fluid, the shell 2 and the heat transfer tube 3 are installed in an inclined manner relative to the horizontal level. A drain flow passage 15 is formed on a lower part of the shell 2, and the condensed drain 11 is collected so as not to be stored, and flows down. A heat insulation material 14 is attached so as to surround the shell 2 except the drain flow passage 15 to reduce the heat radiation caused by the heat exchange between the shell 2 and the outside air. The thermal energy from the hot combustion gas including the evaporation latent heat can be efficiently recovered.
