Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an operation of only one room to be performed by an indoor unit installed in one room as well as an operation of only adjacent room to be performed and further to enable a simultaneous operation for one room and the adjoining room to be performed by a method wherein blowing means is arranged at a wall surface extending over both rooms in the midway of an aeration passage arranged in a wall. CONSTITUTION:An adjoining room cooling discharging port 19 acting as blowing means is arranged in the midway of an aeration passage 18 installed within a wall 7 between one room A and an adjoining room B. In case that only one interior A is cooled or heated, an adjoining room suction port 25 and a secondary blowing port 15 are closed with a damper 16. Before only the adjoining room B is cooled, a damper 28 of an adjoining room suction port 25 is opened, a blowing port 13 is closed with a damper 16 of a blowing port 13 and then an opening or closing door 22 for a third blowing port 21 is closed. On the other hand, before one room A and the adjoining room B are simultaneously cooled or heated, an opening or closing door 22 for the third blowing port 21 is always opened at one room A, an opening or closing door 20 for the cold air blowing port 19 for the adjoining room is opened at the adjoining room B in the case of cooling operation, and in turn in the case of heating operation, an opening or closing door 23 for a heating blowing port 24 for the adjoining room is opened.
