Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve patterning accuracy substantially by adjusting the needle pressure to the preset value by vertical movement of the processing needle when the needle contacts with an amolphous solar battery and, at the same time, by processing in accordance with the specified shape. CONSTITUTION:An X-Y stage 1 mounting an amolphous solar battery 3 is moved to the processing starting position. Then a processing needle vertical driving mechanism 7 operates and a processing needle 5 moves downward onto the amolphous solar battery 3 until the pressure setting is reached through monitoring. After ensuring that a desired pressure is applied to the processing needle 5, the X-Y stage 1 begins to move to conduct a desired patterning by a driving mechanism 2. A needle pressure sensor 6 operates during processing to measure the needle pressure and the processing needle vertical driving mechanism 7 is operated to adjust the measure value to the setting constantly through a controlling section 4.
