Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute a completely sealed and simple structure by converting the displacement of a beltlike magnetic body which is associated with a displacement body to be detected into the up-down motion of a shield body installed in front of a reflecting plate by a magnetic means and detecting whether or not there is light reflection by an optical fiber sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a magnet 6 approaches a ferromagnetic shield body 4 in an enclosed case as the displacement body to be detected is displaced, this ferromagnetic shield body 4 is attracted by a magnet 6 to move up. The ferromagnetic shield body 4, therefore, moves from between an optical fiber detection end 3 and a reflecting plate 5 and light emitted from the detection and 3 reaches the reflecting plate 5 without being cut off. Then its reflected light is projected on the optical fiber detection end 3 and a photodetector detects the ON state of the light. Thus, this structure detects the displacement of a contacted actuator which utilizes magnetism as whether or not there is the reflected light, so the completely sealed and simple structure is obtained.
