Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a switch by converting the displacement of a displacement body to be detected into the up-down motion of a shield body in an enclosed case and detecting whether or not reflected light is generated between a reflecting plate and an optical fiber detection end by the up-down motion. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary lever 7 is rotated by the displacement of the displacement body to be detected, the shield body 5 in the enclosed case 1 moves up through a head 8, and the reflecting plate 6 and a prism 4 come to face each other directly; and the optical fiber detection end 3 projects light on the reflecting plate 6 through the prism 4 and the reflecting plate 6 reflects the light to the detection end 3 through the prism 4. Then the optical fiber detection end 3 sends the ON state of the reflected light to a photodetector to detect the displacement of the displacement body to be detected. The prism 4 is used, so the optical path between the optical detection end 3 and reflecting plate 6 which is used for the detection is bent to reduce the capacity that the optical path occupies. Consequently, the switch mechanism is simplified.
