Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the load capacity from becoming small due to eccentricity by forming a porous throttle in a static pressure gas bearing, and also providing a autogenous throttle. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped pocket 18 is formed at the inner surface of a bearing housing 15, with an air supply hole 19 opened, and a porous member 14 is fitted by pressure to form a bearing 13. A throttle hole 21 is provided in this bearing 13, and a static pressure pneumatic bearing device is formed, which supports a shaft 12. Compressed air from the air supply hole 19 flows out to between the bearing 13 and shaft 12 through the porous member 14 as porous throttle and the throttle hole 21 as a autogenous throttle. Accordingly the load capacity is held high by the autogenous throttle when the eccentricity is small, while it kept also high by the porous throttle when the eccentricity is great.
