Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a dropping and damage of the bearing pad by a method wherein a magnet is arranged at the opposing faces of the bearing pads and the pivot main body of the tilting pad dynamic pressure gas bearing etc.
CONSTITUTION: Magnets 5, 6 are oppositely arranged at the bearing pad 1 and the pivot main body 2, respectively, and the bearing pad 1 is held by a pivot 2A with a suction force of themagnets 5, 6. In this arrangement, when the suction force of the magnets 5, 6 is made different with each other, the bearing pad 1 may be held at a suitable angle of attitude with respect to the pivot main body 2. Thus, it is possible to prevent a drop-off and damage of the bearing pad 1.
