Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily exchange brush elements by exchangeably inserting the brush elements in plural grooves formed on an outer circumferential surface of a brush holder and fixing the brush elements by locking nuts. CONSTITUTION:A roll brush 8 is horizontally moved as being rotated by driving a motor to bring brush elements 8a into contact with a cleaning surface 7 and thereby clean the cleaning surface 7. In the case that the brush elements 8a are worn in use, and they are required to be exchanged, locking nuts 9 are first loosened to draw off the worn brush elements 8a from grooves 8c formed on an outer circumferential surface of a brush holder 8b. Then, new brush elements 8a are inserted into the grooves 8c, and the locking nuts 9 are tightened. Thus, the new brush elements 8a are mounted to the brush holder 8b.
