Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a burr by machining a workpiece with a finishing allowance left minutely in a cutting direction mutually reverse in the primary and the secondary process, and moreover discontinuing machining on its halfway without cutting to a machining end, and machining the above-mentioned minute finishing allowance in the third process to finish the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:In the primary process, a cutter 4 is normally rotated to begin cutting work at one end 1a of a cut part with a finishing allowance left minutely, and the cutting work is discontinued on its halfway to at least leave a cutting end 5 uncut, and then the cutter 4 is raised upward. In the second process, the cutter 4 is rotated in a direction opposite to that in the primary process to begin the cutting work at the other end 1b of the cut part with the finishing allowance left minutely, and the cutting work is discontinued on its halfway to at least leave a cutting end 6 uncut, and then the cutter 4 is raised upward. In the third process, the cutter 4 is moved in the direction indicated by an arrow c as it is rotated in the same direction as that in the second process to execute the cutting work all over the surface to be cut. In the third process, the minute finishing allowance to be machined for finishing work can prevent the occurrence of a burr.
