On the supposition that tool m1 of nose radius r1 for the first process is used for processing in the first and the second processes, movement loci of the supposed blade edge and their intersection T are obtained, and this T point is defined as start point A1 of the first porcess. If the lathe is so controlled that the supposed blade edge of tool m2 may move on locus A2-C2-F2 and the supposed blade edge of tool m1 may move on locus A1-D1-F1, accurate cutting processing is possible.
