Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform cutting accurately in two continuous processes by two kinds of tool different in nose radius, by using the movement locus of the supposed blade edge for the supposition that processing is performed with the first and the second tools.
CONSTITUTION: On the supposition that tool m2 of nose radius r2 for the second process is used for processing in the first and the second processes, movement loci of the supposed blade edge and their intersection T are obtained, and this T point is defined as end point F2 of the second process. On the supposition that tool m1 of nose radius r1 for the first process is used for processing in the first and the second processes, movement loci of the supposed blade edge and their intersection T are obtained, and this T point is defined as start point A1 of the first porcess. If the lathe is so controlled that the supposed blade edge of tool m2 may move on locus A2-C2-F2 and the supposed blade edge of tool m1 may move on locus A1-D1-F1, accurate cutting processing is possible.
