Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical fiber forming body consisting of an alumina, silica and carbon fiber is formed and a reinforced compound sleeve 1 is formed by casting an Al alloy in the fiber forming body with a high pressure solidification casting method. The sleeve 1 is set inside the cavity 3 of a die 2, the molten metal 5 of the base metal Al alloy is filled up by pressurizing it into the cavity 3 to execute casting so as to cast the sleeve 1 circumference. The cylinder obtd. by casting is then heated at specified temp. and the artificial aging treatment holding it for specified time is executed.
