Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a single device to detect torque, a rotational position, and a rotating speed by providing a torque detection part which detects the load torque of a shaft to be detected and a rotation detection part which detects the rotational position and rotating speed of the shaft to be detected in one body. CONSTITUTION:The detection device 1 has the shaft 2 to be detected whose surface part is made of a magnetic body and recessed parts 3a and 3b and projecting parts 4a and 4b which have specific angles to an axial direction are formed integrally on the surface of the shaft. Consequently, magnetic flux flowing on the surface of the shaft 2 to be detected is given directivity. A couple of coils 5a and 5b are arranged opposite the recessed part 3a and projecting part 4a, and recessed part 3b and projecting part 4b, and a cylindrical yoke 7 made of a material with high magnetic permeability is provided outside the coils 5a and 5b while a gap 6 is left between the shaft 2 to be inspected thereby constituting a torque detection part 8. Further, a magnetic core 9 is arranged at part of the inner peripheral side of the yoke 7 and a coil 10 is provided to the magnetic core 9 to constitute a rotation detection part 11. In this case, the coils 5a and 5b are wound in parallel to the shaft 2 to be detected and a coil 10 is wound at right angles to the shaft 2 to be detected.
