Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently produce metal powder having excellent compactibility by heat-treating under reducing gas atmosphere after mixing metallic oxide to the metal powder, pulverizing and classifying with a sieve. CONSTITUTION:The metallic oxide to be easily reduced is mixed to about 0.3-30wt.% to the metal powder. The heat treatment is executed to the mixed material under reducing gas atmosphere of ammonia decomposition gas, etc., at about 600 deg.C and sintered. After pulverizing the sintered material, the classification is executed with the sieve. The metallic oxide is desirable to use the powdery material having <=2.0g/cm<2> apparent density and <=10mum grain size. By this method, the metal powder having low apparent density and good compactibility is easily obtd.
