Abstract

PURPOSE:To confirm normalcy in distinction from congestion by interrupting a high-order processor and conforming the normalcy of the high-order processor in accordance with transmission or non-transmission of a command from the high-order processor to this interrupt. CONSTITUTION:A link layer control processor 2 interrupts a network layer control processor 1 through a line 5 only for interrupt in an idle time. When being interrupted by the line 5, a high-order processor 1 immediately sends a specific command to the processor 2 whether the processor is congested. If trouble occurs in the processor because of abnormality of hardware or software of the processor 1, the processor 1 cannot send the specific command to the processor 2. The processor recognizes trouble of the processor 1 when the processor does not receive the command within a certain time. Thus, the normalcy of the high-order processor is recognized in distinction from congestion.
