Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomodate a channel having flexible and various kinds of transmission rates by assigning transmission rates to the channel according to the connection request and transmission rates from an control office without assignment of a fixed transmission speed to the channel. CONSTITUTION:When a connection request generates from a terminal device, FS detector 23 of the control office detects frame separation FS and, at the detection of dead status, sends connection request flag from connection/disconnection request register 28. Channel separation detector 26 calculates the channel number assigined to itself and sends data from transmission register 29. On the other hand, the control office receives a connection/disconnection field from connection/disconnection request receiving register 32 and decides whether the request is a connection request or a disconnection request. Thus, the channel having flexible and various kinds of transmission rates can be accomodated by assigning transmission rates to the channel according to the connection request and transmission rates from the control office.
