Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance thermal efficiency while preventing low temperature corrosion of an economizer by coupling the economizer and a gas type air preheater in parallel with the exhaust gas line of a boiler burning a fuel having high water content. CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas from a boiler 1 enters into an economizer 2 and a gas type air preheater 3 disposed in parallel and discharged from a chimney 5 after heat is recovered up to a temperature as low as possible. On the other hand, water enters into the economizer 2 at a temperature causing no low temperature corrosion and supplied to the boiler 1 after the temperature is raised by receiving sensible heat from gas. The air enters into gas type air preheater 3 and heated up to a temperature required for burning a fuel having high water content by receiving sensible heat from gas before being fed to the boiler 1. At the time of different adhesion of dust to both heat recovery systems or at the time of load fluctuation, gas supply to both heat recovery systems is unbalanced and thereby dampers 6, 7 in the downstream of the heat recovery systems are regulated.
