Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance printing capacity or printing durability and to enhance the controllability and stability of a process or the controllability of grain, by repeatedly performing the electrolytic surface roughening treatment of an aluminum support in an acidic electrolyte while interposing smut removing treatment on the way before performing the post-treatment thereof in the acidic electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:An AC current having a commercial three-phase AC as a power source waveform is applied between an aluminum plate and the electrode opposed thereto in an electrolyte containing nitric acid to apply electrolytic surface roughening treatment to the aluminum plate and the treated aluminum plate is immersed in an aqueous solution containing nitric acid to remove smut and the aC current having the commercial three-phase AC as the power source waveform is again applied between the aluminum plate and the electrode opposed thereto in the electrolyte containing nitric acid to apply electrolytic surface roughening treatment to said aluminum plate. Next, a DC current obtained by rectifying the commercial three-phase AC by thyristor is allowed to flow between the aluminum plate and the electrode opposed thereto in an electrolyte containing sulfuric acid to perform post-treatment performing the removal of the smut formed by electrolytic surface roughening treatment and the minute dissolution of aluminum.
