Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect two-dimensional displacement stably by rectangular ly arranging a ceramic superconductor piece, at both ends and the center of which electrodes are fitted, applying a rectangular shifting magnetic field and measuring voltage fluctuation among the end section and center electrodes in response to the displacement of the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 2 are set up at both ends and center at a corner section of a rectangularly bent ceramic superconductor 1. A magnetic field M is applied to one port of the superconductor 1 by using a rectangular permanent magnet. Constant currents are flowed among a terminal aX and both poles at the corner section. When the magnetic field M is shifted in the Y or X direction, voltage fluctuation corresponding to the displacement is generated between terminals aX, bY and aX, bX. The voltage fluctuation is measured, thus detecting the displacement of the magnet without being subject to the effect of a temperature change.
