Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the position of light irradiation easily and accurately from potential difference between input and output electrodes by irradiating a light-transmitting resistance film with a light spot under the state, in which currents are flowed through a pair of in put electrodes, and shunting currents to the output electrode. CONSTITUTION:When voltage is applied between input electrode terminals 3, 3 ', currents are flowed in the direction of the arrow 3 (a balloon) in a light- transmitting resistance film 6, and potential difference is generated between the terminals 3, 3'. When a point S on a photoconductive film d is spot irradiated with visible light H, one part of the film 4 is changed into a conductor, and one part of currents is flowed through an output electrode 5 through an irradiating section 4a in the direction of the arrow 4 (a balloon). Potential difference related to the position S of a light spot is generated between the input electrode 3 and the output electrode 5. The potential difference is measured, thus detecting a distance from the electrode 3 of the spot S.
