Abstract

PURPOSE:To suitably correct a luminance signal without any influence of an input DC voltage by making, by the function of a reference voltage detection circuit, a start voltage to follow an input DC voltage when it is different from the normal one. CONSTITUTION:A sample holding circuit X sample-holds the reference voltage of an input signal. A start voltage setting circuit Y adds a constant voltage to the DC component of the standard voltage generated by the circuit X by dividing the potential difference of a diode 21 by means of a resister. A clipping circuit Z, if an input signal exceeds the start voltage, applies a certain correction to the input signal, so that a corrected signal is outputted to an output terminal (b).
