Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics of a proportionally operating circuit for comparing an input voltage with a standard voltage to produce an output having ON and OFF ratio proportional to the difference between the input and standard voltages and to easily vary the various constants in the circuit by easily forming the circuit configuration.
CONSTITUTION: An arithmetic amplifier (OP Amp) receives at the inversion input terminal thereof an input voltage VIN through a resistor R1, and is connected at the output terminal thereof to + V voltage source through a time constant circuit of a resistor R2 and a capacitor C in series circuit. There are connected a resistor R3 between the connecting point of the resistor R2 and the capacitor C and the inversion input terminal, and a resistor R4 between the output terminal and the non- inversion input terminal. The standard voltage (O V in this case) is applied through a resistor R5 to the non-inversion input terminal. The amplifier OP Amp thus connected compares both the voltages applied to both the input terminals thereof to produce -V when the voltage at the inversion input terminal is higher than that at the non-inversion input terminal and +V when it is lower than the latter.
