Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain required steering characteristics in a simple mechanism by letting both gears and arm bodies be input shaft, letting a slider on a slider guiding body rotatable via the gears be an output shift at the midway of the connecting shaft of a front/rear wheel steering mechanism, and connecting the slider with the arm bodies by a rod. CONSTITUTION:An interlocking mechanism is arranged at the midway of a connecting shaft connecting each steering mechanism for front and rear wheels so as to steer the front and rear wheels. No.1 rotating shaft 16 is provided for the input side 8 of the interlocking mechanism so as to be drivable through an arm body 14, which includes No.1 gear 18 at the midway thereof, and an arm body 20 is provided for the other end of the aforesaid shaft 16 for constituting a movement conversion mechanism 4. A slider guiding body 30 is made to be rotatable by No.2 gear 28 in the output side 42, a slider crank mechanism 6 is provided, the slider 34 of the slider guiding body is connected with the arm body 20 by a rod 38, and an output pin 40 is projected from the slider 34. Owing to this constitution, the number of teeth of the gears and the length of a link are regulated, thereby enabling the optimum characteristics for front/ rear wheel steering to be obtained in a simple mechanism.
