Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate an erroneous operation of a ground-fault relay when a load current abruptly increases by detecting the amplitude of the current, and providing means for disabling the relay of the ground-fault relay when the detected value abruptly increases. CONSTITUTION:Current transformers CT1-CT3 are respectively provided in 3 phases, the output terminals are connected to detect a zero-phase current. when the zero-phase current becomes a set value or more, the relay Ry of a groundfault relay GR is operated. On the other hand, the amplitude of the load current is detected from one of the CT1-CT3, and input to a holding circuit HS. When the circuit HS detects the abrupt increase of the load current, the relay Ry is deenergized irrespective of the output signal of the GR. Thus, even if the GR erroneously judges when the load current abruptly increases, the relay Ry is disabled.
