Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the connection of about 10<-12>OMEGA or lower by bringing filaments at the end section into contact with each other before the heat treatment is applied, enveloping the connection section with a base metal or the same material as the base metal, and applying the temperature and pressure to connect the filaments to each other in a solid phase diffusion state. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the heat treatment, a base metal 1 is melted and removed with nitric acid over the length range of 3cm from the end section of wires 4a, 4b, for example, part of filaments 3 are exposed, the whole exposed filament portions 3a are overlapped and inserted into a sleeve 7 formed with the same composition material as the base metal 1. Part of the sleeve 7 covers the base metal 1 of the wires 4a, 4b, and the copper alloy powder with the same composition as the sleeve 7 is filled in the sleeve 7. The pressure is applied to the sleeve 7 to crush the sleeve 7, then the sleeve 7, filament portions 3a, copper alloy powder, and end sections of wires 4a, 4b are integrated, the portion fitted with the sleeve 7 is heated, then the filament portions 3a are kept in a solid phase diffusion connection state, and the connection of about 10<-12>OMEGA or below is realized.
