Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically stop an image frame at a position suitable for the size of a recording sheet, by providing an input means to input the stopping position of the image frame corresponding to the size of the recording sheet, and a control means to move the image frame to the stopping position corresponding to the size of the image frame based on the signal of the input means at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:An operator sets distances from a mark detector 3 to an appropriate stopping position for the half and full sizes of the recording sheet to be printed from a keyboard 13 in the pulse unit of an encoder 7. A CPU 11 stores those distances as lf (for full size) and lh (for half size) in a memory 12. When a desired image frame is retrieved, a mark (m) is detected by the mark detector 3, and a take-up motor M2 is driven as counting the output signal of the detector 3 by a counter in the CPU 11. When a count value arrives at a targeted address, the number of pulses from the encoder 7 is counted hereafter, and the image frame of a microfilm F is moved by the number of pulses equivalent to the full size lf.
