Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a time constant circuit with stability independently of voltage fluctuation by using a compensation circuit so as to make potentials at an input terminal and an output terminal of a current mirror circuit inverting a constant current equal to each other and supplying a constant current to a capacitance. CONSTITUTION:A constant current depending on a resistive element 1 is inputted from a connecting point 9 to a current mirror circuit 3 and outputted to a connecting point 10 while being inverted. A voltage at connecting points 9, 10 is given to a compensation circuit 4. The circuit 4 compares the inputted voltages to apply differential control to the voltage at the connecting point 10 via the circuit 3. When the connecting points 9, 10 reach an equi-potential, a constant current charges a capacitor 5 via the circuit 4 from the circuit 3. In giving a high level reset signal from a control circuit 7 to discharge the capacitor 5, an input terminal 11 reaches a high level. The circuit 7 sends a reset signal retarded for a prescribed time and inverted into a low level to the capacitor 5. Then the charging of the capacitor 5 is started by a constant current. The delay time depends only on the resistive element 1 and the capacitor 5 and stable time constant is obtained without being affected by the power voltage or a threshold voltage.
