Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of bent vertical lines on a reproducing picture plane, to two pieces, and also, to set the number of heads fixed onto a drum, to four pieces, by providing an erasing head having a gap in a radius of a shape of a contact part with a magnetic tape of a video head. CONSTITUTION:A rotary erasing head FE for erasing simultaneously a part recorded already of a magnetic tape by preceding video heads R1-L2 is adjacent to a video head L1 and provided on the same base 24 as the video head L1, in the direction opposite to the rotational direction K of a drum 20, allows an erasing current to flow at the time of recording, an erases a signal of a magnetic tape. Also, these are polished on the same circular arc indicated with a radius (r), and although a gap 30 of the rotary erasing head FE and a gap 32 of the video head L1 are in a position projected from the outside periphery of said drum 20, a projecting shape from the outside periphery of said drum 20 is the same as one piece of head.
