Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a sintered material having desired space in the interior, by setting a removal mold for forming inner space in a forming mold, pouring sintering powder slurry to the forming mold, discharging liquid from the slurry and taking away the removal mold from the forming mold by melting.
CONSTITUTION: Linear slits 15 and 16 having slit width S in 10μ≤S≤3d when average particle diameter of sintering powder is d is made in a forming mold 11. A removal mold 18 for forming inner space consisting of a main body 18a of a removal mold of high polymer material and a thin film b for preventing permeation, consisting of a metallic plating is set in the forming mold 11. Then slurry consisting of the sintering powder, an organic binder having a higher melting point than that of the high polymer material and an organic solvent is packed into the forming mold 11. In this state, the slurry is pressurized by a plunger 14 and a liquid component is discharged from the slits 15 and 16 to mold a powder molded article. The molded article is taken out from the forming mold 11, the main body 18a of the removal mold is melted and removed by heating to give a hollow molded article, which is sintered. Consequently, a molded article having inner space and uniform density is readily obtained.
