Abstract
1535798 Hot isostatic compaction of metal powder MESSERSCHMITT-BOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 3 Dec 1976 [24 Dec 1975] 50593/76 Addition to 1443630 Heading C7D [Also in Division B5] Sintered metal articles are made by (a) making a mould , (b) producing a casting of metal alloy on thermoplastic material other than wax from the mould, (c) electro-plating the casting with a higher melting metal, (d) removing the casting to provide a hollow mould which is then charged with metal powder under vacuum and isostatically hot pressed. The mould is then removed by sand blasting, by cutting or chemically.
