Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the erroneous mounting of a receiving sheet, by a method wherein the take-up paper pipe of a thermal transfer sheet arranged to the side surface of a recording paper housing body is detached prior to operation and brought into contact with the arm provided to a side plate pair unless mounted on the take-up shaft of the main body and an upper structural body can not be connected to a lower structural body. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet 44 and a receiving sheet 42 are received in one recording paper housing body 4. A facsimile apparatus is divided into the main body base (lower structural body) 1a thereof and the upper structural body 1b supported by a side plate pair 1b' and both structural bodies 1a, 1b can be opened and closed around an opening and closing pin 22 being a revolving fulcrum.
