Abstract
PURPOSE:To relatively easily produce an electrode for electroendosmotic dehydration having satisfactory performance, high strength and a long service life at a reasonable cost by using a carbonaceous material contg. carbon fibers as an electrode material. CONSTITUTION:An electrode for electroendosmotic dehydration is produced with a carbonaceous material obtd. by bonding carbon fibers made from polyacrylonitrile, etc., to each other with carbon. The electrode has superior strength and electrical conductivity. In is durable and can be used over a long period whether used at negative or positive polarity, so electroendosmotic dehydration treatment producing a significant dehydrating effect can be economically carried out with the electrode.
