Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the supply of a root constantly with a sufficient amount of oxygen, by introducing oxygen into a culture vessel containing a culture soil using an oxygen-supplying means through a gas-permeable wall of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A culture vessel 7 is formed by lining the inside of a box-shaped frame 9 with a mesh sheet 10. The vessel 7 is filled with culture soil 11 and put into a top-opened outer box 8 having gas-impermeable wall. A pipe 12 for feeding air is arranged under the culture vessel 7 and air taken from the outer atmosphere of the culture vessel with a pump 13 is discharged through an air outlet port 12a of the pipe 12 and introduced into the culture soil in the culture vessel.
